What We Collect

• Account information — email, name, and password (hashed).
• Clothing images — photos you upload of your wardrobe items.
• AI-generated metadata — clothing attributes like category, colors, style tags, and estimated retail prices produced by AI analysis.
• Usage data — saved outfits, preferences, and feature interactions.
• Location data — if you grant permission, your approximate location is used solely to provide weather-based outfit recommendations. Location data is not stored on our servers and is only used in real-time to fetch weather information.
• Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, we store a device token to send you outfit reminders, friend requests, and messages. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• Subscription data — your subscription tier and status, managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We never receive or store your payment card details.
• AI feedback & ratings — when you rate AI-generated outfits or provide text feedback, we store your ratings and comments to improve recommendations for you and other users.
• Referral data — if you use the referral program, we store your referral code and track successful referrals to award credits.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate StyleAI. Each provider only receives the minimum data necessary for its function:

• AI analysis (Anthropic / Claude) — clothing images and wardrobe data (item names, colors, categories, styles) are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for clothing analysis, outfit recommendations, chat styling advice, and other AI-powered features. Anthropic processes this data to generate responses and does not use your data to train their models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Image hosting (Cloudinary) — your uploaded photos are stored and delivered by Cloudinary's cloud storage service.
• Authentication & data storage (Supabase) — your account credentials and wardrobe data are managed by Supabase (Postgres database with row-level security).
• Application hosting (Vercel) — the web application is served by Vercel's hosting platform.
• Email delivery (Resend) — transactional emails (friend invitations, notifications) are sent through Resend's email service.
• Subscription management (RevenueCat) — subscription status and entitlements are managed by RevenueCat. They receive your anonymized user ID and subscription status but no personal data.
• Crash reporting (Sentry) — we use Sentry to detect and fix app crashes. Sentry receives your anonymized user ID and device information when a crash occurs. We redact authentication tokens from crash reports.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any unrelated third parties. All third-party service providers listed above are required to provide the same or equal level of protection of your personal data as described in this privacy policy, and to use your data solely for the purposes described above.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
• You can delete individual items at any time. When you delete an item, the following are permanently removed: the uploaded image, all AI-generated metadata (tags, colors, descriptions), and any references in saved outfits.
• You can delete your entire account from your profile. When you delete your account, the following are permanently erased: all uploaded images, all wardrobe data and AI-generated metadata, all saved outfits and style preferences, your account credentials and personal information, and any associated usage history. This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.

What We Don't Do

• We never sell your data.
• We never use your images for advertising.
• We never perform facial recognition — AI only analyzes clothing.
• We never share your wardrobe unless you use social features.

Your Rights

• Access — view all your stored data in the app at any time.
• Deletion — delete individual items or your entire account.
• Consent withdrawal — stop using upload features at any time.
• Data portability — export your entire wardrobe data (including all AI-generated metadata) as a JSON file from your profile settings at any time.

AI Learning & Improvement

• When you rate AI-generated content (outfits, style analysis, etc.), your feedback is used to personalize future recommendations for your account.
• Aggregated, anonymized feedback patterns across all users may be used to improve AI quality for everyone. For example, if many users report that certain color combinations don't work, the AI learns to avoid them for all users.
• Your individual feedback is never shared with other users. Only anonymized patterns are extracted.
• You can stop contributing feedback at any time by simply not rating AI results.

Content Moderation

Uploaded images are checked for content policy compliance. Accounts with severe violations may be locked.
